Sonora Gold to amend MD&A for period ended July 31

Vancouver, British Columbia (October 19, 2010 - Sonora Gold & Silver Corp. (the "Company" or "Sonora") announces that at the request of regulatory authorities, it will be amending its recently filed Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for the period ending July 31, 2010.

The amended filing will include further clarification on forward looking statements, further clarity on activities during the filing period, and further comment on the process of implementation of IFRS. The amended MD&A can be found on www.sedar.com
