SONORA ENTERS INTO A PROPERTY OPTION AGREEMENT

Vancouver, British Columbia (August 3rd, 2010 Ð Sonora Gold & Silver Corp. (the "Company" or "Sonora") is pleased to announce it has entered into a Property Option Agreement to explore and acquire 100% interest in a property located in the Handeni Tanga gold district in the United Republic of Tanzania. The Handeni gold district is known for its small scale artisanal gold mining. The project is located in close proximity to the town of Magambazi.
